From the whimsical imagination of Theater Terra (Kikker 2003, Circus 2001, Towering 1997) comes the U.S. debut of the music-filled, puppet production, Little Donkey. The charming characters from this beloved children's book series, Kleine Ezel, leap from the page to the stage in a brand new play penned by the acclaimed author Richard Kromhout. After a surprise storm turns their town upside down, a plucky young donkey and an array of animal friends must work together to rebuild their home, jumpstart Mamma Donkey's launderette and recover one gigantic item of missing laundry - a sock of the dreaded, 30-foot tall Marabou. Little Donkey and his pals race through the storybook-like landscape inspired by renowned illustrator Annemarie van Haeringen and sweep audiences along on a surprising journey. Filled with toe-tapping songs, lovable characters and Theater Terra's signature style of Bunraku puppetry, Little Donkey is an inventive and charming adventure for the whole family.
