The InCite Arts Festival, originally conceived to share the dynamic artistic strengths and synergy of Boston University's College of Fine Arts schools of Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts, offers programming that boasts an eclectic and compelling combination of titles and artists. The addition of events from the College of Communication and School of Medicine to this year's festival evolves the InCite concept toward its long-term vision of embracing arts-related initiatives from throughout Boston University, with the College of Fine Arts leading the way. In Fall 2009, the moveable feast of InCite made a high-impact debut in Washington D.C., and now returns to New York for a third engagement. This round, the festival invites audiences on an exploration of diverse artistic terrain, some uncharted, some time-honored, all presented by a multigenerational community of passionate, accomplished artists. By highlighting BU's 'new conservatory' model, InCite demonstrates the leadership role that universities can play as arts laboratories and creative collaborators reenergizing their professions.
