Taking inspiration from Italo Calvino's 1972 novel Invisible Cities, Imaginary City is a meditation on urban environments. Through music, film, and installation, Imaginary City explores a variety of perspectives and forms within cities and among the people that inhabit them, gathering audio and video from many cities to create a single, imaginary city.

Interaction with the environment of the Harvey Theater is a natural extension of the piece, as is the utilization of sounds and images from New York City.
