A sparkling blend of East and West, Holiday Wonders is a holiday spectacle for the family. A cast of 200 singers, dancers, and musicians will share their songs, dances, epic tales, legends, and exotic costuming to celebrate the season. Choreographers are graduates of China's major institutions, including the Beijing Dance Academy, and the three large performing groups that will appear are headquartered in China, Canada, and upstate New York.
Holiday Wonders presents a magical spectacle of ancient Chinese mythology with a contemporary theatrical approach as it enacts traditional tales of the Tang Dynasty, known as a Golden Age of Culture in ancient China. Over 20 regions of China are represented by their dance styles, legends, and costumes. The elaborate, exquisite costumes, all hand sewn, are in themselves a stunning presentation.
