WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Eduardo Machado's Havana Is Waiting makes its New York premiere at the Cherry Lane Theatre. The play explores the comic gravity in a bittersweet tale of a child's paradise lost and an adult's attempt to regain it. Forty years after he is shipped off to the U.S. in the "Peter Pan" flights of 1961, a Cuban returns to Havana with a friend, only to land as the newest "lost boy" Elian Gonzalez washes ashore in Miami. Michael John Marces directs.
There are $25.00 student rush tickets available only the day of the performance.

Maybe it's because, no matter how tied to home an
individual may be, there are times when everyone feels adrift and alienated, aching to reconnect.
Federico (Bruce MacVittie), after some initial wavering, undertakes his tr[...]
