In Ghosts, Helen Alving is ready to close a chapter in her family's life. But her son, returning home from abroad, brings with him a terrible secret. Before sunrise, the truth will burn around them both, and the ghosts from their past will return to reveal a father's terrible legacy to his son. This play examines the social themes of morality, hypocrisy, and individual responsibility even as it exposes the intense emotional currents that buffet a family across the generations.
