WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Working Theatre presents Free Market, eight very short plays linked thematically and written by eight different playwrights: Jim Grimsley, Sachi Oyama, OyamO, Julie Jensen, Guillermo Reyes, Elaine Romero, Karen Sunde and William Wise. Joseph Megel directs.

The plays explore the American workplace and worker in their myriad manifestations. Whether it is a futuristic sex care-worker, dog groomer, faith healer, a factory going up in smoke, a world conference of our most dastardly dictators or a sleazy border bar in America?s Southwest where illegal aliens mix with Selena impersonators, the production makes the statement that nothing more often defines who we are than what we do.
