New York Theatre Workshop presents the world premiere of Everything That Rises Must Converge, a staging of three Flannery O'Connor stories -- "A View of the Woods," "Greenleaf," and the title story. Karin Coonrod directs.

Belonging to the Southern Gothic tradition of American writers, O'Connor was acclaimed for stories that combined the absurdly comic with the tragically brutal. Her stories depict vivid and piercing tales of haunted Southern characters, both black and white, struggling with race, religion, and the changing cultural landscape of the south in the early to mid 20th century.
