Performed in both Peru and the US, Ejercicios de Belleza/Beauty Exercises examines how gender and national identity are ascribed/inscribed on the body.

Ejercicios de Belleza/Beauty Exercises is the second part of an international, interdisciplinary performance taking place this year in both Lima and New York City. Produced with the Peruvian performance collective elgalpon.espacio, the piece draws on queer theory and the performers' own experiences to question how gender and national identity are ascribed/inscribed on the body and how we--the accionistas--perform these identities in relation to each other.
