WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Luminary theatre artist Roman Paska returns to the New York stage with the premiere of Echo in Camera, exploring the relationships between hearing, understanding and identity in a "little mental drama" that recasts the Orpheus legend as the journey of a divided puppet protagonist through the netherworld of his own imagination to retrieve a missing other. This piece was developed at the Vienna Schauspielhaus. His magical-realist documentary, Rehearsal for a Sicilian Tragedy, premiered at the Venice Film Festival and was since shown in New York at Lincoln Center and IFC.
