WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Don Juan is Moliere's 1665 censured comedy about the rambles of the legendary serial seducer Don Juan and his servant Sganarelle as the Don willfully follows his own instincts, offends the pious and finally ends in hellfire.
Bartlett Sher directs.
The opening night performance begins at 6:00pm.Closing night is April 13 with a performance at 7:00 pm.

Imagine an overturned Godiva chocolates box with one side cut away, enlarge the image a thousandfold, and you've got a fix on the set that Christopher Akerlind has designed for Bartlett Sher's Theatre for a New Audience production of Don Juan. Imagine racks of black clothes hung three deep across the top of the box -- as if they've been stripped from anonymous victims of unspecified crimes -- and you've grasped the unsettling atmosphere infusing this treatment of Molière's anomalous 1665 work.
