Directed and adapted by Robert Richmond, Aquila Theatre Company's production of Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors takes a visit to a 1920s Turkish cartoon dream with the likes of Indiana Jones and Tintin where tomfoolery reigns.

For some reason, The Comedy of Errors is in the ether this summer. Decca Broadway has remastered a recording, not previously available on compact disc, of the 1963 London production of The Boys from Syracuse, the 1938 musical version of Shakespeare's play that features an exquisite score by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Next month, the Roundabout unveils a new Boys from Syracuse with George Abbott's libretto reworked by Nicky Silver. And the Aquila Theatre Company is offering Shakespeare's original at the East 13th Street Theater, the regular home of the Classic Stage Company, for a summer run through September 1.
