Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo presents Cinderella, directed & choreographed by Jean-Christophe Maillot.

This Cinderella with an edge eschews the tale's customary classical trappings of cartoon-like lords and ladies, and stepsisters whose cruelty verges on caricature. Instead, Maillot focuses on the pivotal relationship between Cinderella and her mother, a.k.a. her fairy godmother, and gives Cinderella a liberating psychological makeover.
