Stephen Schwartz hosts a benefit concert performance of Children's Letters to God for Lark Theatre's Overture Series. The national bestseller was a compilation of funny, frank, and unforgettable actual letters written by children and addressed to God. This musical adaptation creates a storyline out of the letters in the book. Five young actors portray kids who write, as only kids can, to God to beg a favor, pose a question, express a doubt or communicate a joy as they cope with the myriad of things kids face in today's complex world: puppy love, divorce, new friends, sibling rivalries, birthdays, and even death.
Tickets are $75 for adults and $35 for children under 16. Special benefit tickets ($150-$500 for adults, $40-$65 for children under 16) include an after-show party with cast and creators at NYC Restaurant, 75 Greenwich St.
