WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Play Company presents a benefit reading of Caro's L.B.J.: A Theatrical Portrait of the 26th President with Robert A. Caro and Friends. Caro received a 2003 Pulitzer Prize for his book Master of the Senate, the third volume in his biographical series on Lyndon B. Johnson. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, the evening features Caro reading from his acclaimed biographies, with a focus on Johnson's civil rights record, his identity as a great legislator and consummate politician, and the complexity of his motivation.
