WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Due to popular demand, Lincoln Center Theater presents a return engagement of Barbara Cook in her critically acclaimed new concert.

Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series, a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers, continues on Thursday, July 8 from 5pm to 7pm with the legendary singer Barbara Cook, who discusses her career and also signs copies of her new CD. The Barbara Cook Platform/CD signing takes place in the lobby of the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street). Admission is free and open to all; however, seating in the lobby is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis only, beginning at 4:30pm.

In Barbara Cook's Broadway, the acclaimed singer, along with musical director and arranger Wally Harper on piano and Jon Burr on bass, takes the audience on a musical tour of the Golden Years of Broadway. For two decades, from 1951 to 1971, Barbara Cook was a leading star of the Broadway musical theater, creating roles in such classics as Candide, The Music Man and She Loves Me!. In Barbara Cook's Broadway, the Tony Award winner performs her favorite songs from, and reminisces about, this legendary period.
