Set in the Balkans at the turn of the century, Arms and the Man is George Bernard Shaw's take on love and war. Bluntschi, a Swiss mercenary seeks refuge from the enemy Serbs by hiding in a young Serbian lady's bedroom. The yound Raina Petkoff is in love with her ideal man, Sergius Sernaoff, who happens to be a Serbian cavalry officer. What ensues is pure Shavian fun in exposing hypocrisy and the sheer folly of misrepresenting oneself. Directed by Ernest Johns.
