WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In this one-act opera based on Sophocles' play, Antigone faces the deaths of her two brothers, who have killed each other in battle. One is to be dishonored by Creon, who has deemed him unworthy of burial. With original score and libretto by Marjorie Merryman, former chair of the BU composition department. William Lumpkin, conductor. Jim Petosa, stage director. Performed by members of the Boston University Opera Institute and Chamber Orchestra.

Antigone is presented as part of the Incite Arts Festival
