WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
An Error of the Moon is a fictional portrait of the brothers Edwin and John Wilkes Booth, the rock star actors of their day. Edwin tells his tale of a man consumed by jealousy, of bitter sibling rivalry, and the mad obsession that sparked the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

Better than it sounds
The set and costumes are great, the acting is good and the story even though you know the ending is very interesting. Dont hesitate to see it.

Error of the Moon
Yes, perhaps the script is a bit pedestrian and the action, of course, as specified, speculative. However, it was an interesting speculation and one which was based on a reasonable interpretation of the facts. I thought the acting was good even with some deficiences of the script. The set and staging were also good.
I think it is worth attending to learn more about an interesting family in US history.

A slice of American history meets The Twilight Zone in Luigi Creatore's imaginative, An Error of the Moon, playing at The Beckett Theatre. Director Kim Weild, with the assistance of a topnotch design team, has certainly given the show a visually sumptuous staging. Sadly, the lackluster performances of its lead actors ultimately undermine this potentially dynamic excursion into speculation about the lives of Edwin Booth (Erik Heger) and John Wilkes Booth (Andrew Veenstra).
