WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein features rarely seen works by the best-selling author of children's stories such as "The Giving Tree", "Where The Sidewalk Ends", and "A Light in the Attic." Silverstein actually began his career drawing and writing for Playboy Magazine and was a prolific songwriter of such acclaimed hits as Dr. Hook's "Cover of the Rolling Stone" and Johnny Cash's "Boy Named Sue". The Atlantic Theatre Company pays tribute to this unique and extraordinary man by presenting a selection of one-act plays culled from his series "The Bag Plays", "The Sign Plays" and "The Bathroom Plays", among others. If you loved Shel Silverstein as a child, you can't miss this evening as an adult.
