WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Produced by Cohen, and Jason Scheff, Abbie is a politically charged exploration into the life of Abbie Hoffman, the Sixties activist who was a member of the infamous "Chicago Eight" and known to many as "The Clown Prince of the Revolution." This one-man show will give audiences a compelling inside look of what life was like as a leader of the anti-establishment, revealing the emotional stress caused by his underground hiding, the effects of beatings at the hands of hateful police, and other conflicts which eventually overwhelmed him, resulting in his suicide over two decades ago. Bern Cohen received special permission from Hoffman's wife to put together this production.
