Women’s Project Theater will open its 2016-17 season with the world premiere of Stuffed, written by and starring comedian Lisa Lampanelli. Directed by Jackson Gay, previews will begin on September 23 with opening night set for October 7 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre. The limited engagement will play through November 6.

With additional material by Ashley Austin Morris, Stuffed "brings together four women’s disparate stories to paint a portrait of the insanity of a world that forces women to address hard-hitting issues like: Is eating an ice cream sandwich in the shower an emotionally fulfilling activity? When it comes to blue jeans, should one opt for a camel toe or a muffin top? And the ultimate question: can food and body-image issues ever truly be conquered?"

Lampanelli's career boasts several HBO & Comedy Central Specials. She was a cast member on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, is a regular on late-night television, and is a frequent guest and guest host on Sirius XM satellite radio shows. The comedian and writer has also earned two Grammy nominations for "Best Comedy Album."

Additional casting to be announced at a later date.
