Roundabout Theatre Company's benefit concert reading of Damn Yankees took place yesterday at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Check out photos in the gallery below.

The cast featured Stephen Bogardus as Joe Boyd, Danny Burstein as Van Buren, Victoria Clark as Meg Boyd, Whoopi Goldberg as Applegate, Annie Golden as Doris, Maggie Gyllenhaal as Lola, Julie Halston as Sister, Matthew Morrison as Joe Hardy, and Adrienne Warren as Gloria Thorpe.

Tony winner Kathleen Marshall directed the one-night-only presentation of the 1955 musical, featuring a score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, and a book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop. The show is described as follows: "Would you do anything to help your favorite baseball team win the pennant? In the Faustian baseball musical, Damn Yankees, Joe Boyd sells his soul to the devil to be the home run hitter that will guide his favorite team, the Washington Senators, to a win against those 'Damn Yankees.'"

Proceeds from the benefit concert reading will support Roundabout Theatre Company's many programs and initiatives, including Education at Roundabout.
