Frenchie Davis, Michael Longoria, Jeremy Pope, and More Rehearse The View UpStairs

Max Vernon’s new musical is directed by Scott Ebersold.

Rehearsals have begun for The View UpStairs, a new musical by Max Vernon. The work will begin an off-Broadway run at Culture Project's Lynn Redgrave Theater on February 15, with opening night set for February 28.

The work follows a young fashion designer who buys an abandoned space that used to be a vibrant gay bar in the French Quarter of New Orleans, "setting off an exhilarating journey of seduction and self-exploration that spans two generations of queer history."

The cast of The View UpStairs features Jeremy Pope as Wes, Taylor Frey as Patrick, Nathan Lee Graham as Willie, Frenchie Davis as Henri, Benjamin Howes as Richard, Michael Longoria as Freddy, Ben Mayne as Dale, Nancy Ticotin as Inez, Randy Redd as Buddy, Richard E. Waits, and Anthony Alfaro. The production, directed by Scott Ebersold, features choreography by Al Blackstone, with musical direction and orchestrations by James Dobinson.
