Spamilton Will End Its Off-Broadway Run

Gerard Alessandrini’s ”Hamilton” send-up recently celebrated 500 performances in New York City.

Off-Broadway Hamilton parody Spamilton will play its final performance on January 7. The production originally started as a limited engagement in July 2016 and, after multiple extensions, continued on to play at the Triad Theater and then the 47th Street Theatre for over 500 performances.

The cast of Spamilton includes Chris Anthony Giles, Nicole Vanessa Ortiz, Aaron Michael Ray, Dan Rosales, and Tristan J. Shuler. Cameron Amandus and Kianee Truvillion are the show's understudies.

Spamilton is written and directed by Gerard Alessandrini. In addition, the creative team includes Gerry McIntyre (choreography), Dustin Cross (costume design), Richard Danley and Fred Barton (musical arrangements), and Michael Cassara (casting director). The show has also launched productions in Chicago and Los Angeles. In addition, a national tour in the works with cities to be announced and discussion of a London production in 2018.
