A single performance has been added to the sold-out run of the world premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Annie Baker's John. The production, which kicks off Signature's 25th-anniversary season, will now play its final performance on September 6 at 7:30pm. John began performances on July 22, and opened on August 11 in the Irene Diamond Stage at the Pershing Square Signature Center. Tony Award winner Sam Gold (Fun Home), who also directs Baker's The Flick, helms the production.

In John, it's the week after Thanksgiving at a bed and breakfast in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, that houses a cheerful innkeeper, a young couple struggling to stay together, and thousands of inanimate objects. John marks the first show of Annie Baker’s residency at the Signature theater.

The cast features Christopher Abbott (HBO's Girls) as Elias, Hong Chau (A to Z) as Jenny, five-time Emmy Award nominee Georgia Engel (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) as Mertis, and Tony Award nominee Lois Smith (Signature's The Illusion) as Genevieve.

The design team includes Mimi Lien (scenic design), Ásta Bennie Hostetter (costume design), Mark Barton (lighting design), and Bray Poor (sound design).
