La MaMa and CultureHub to Present Plays by Robert Patrick

The short plays will be performed live across time zones and international borders in associate with Seoul Institute of the Arts.

La MaMa and CultureHub, in association with Seoul Institute of the Arts, have announced plans to present Hi-Fi | Wi-Fi | Sci-Fi: Predictions Past Present and Future, an evening of short plays by Robert Patrick from February 2-19 at La Mama's Downstairs.

HI-FI, WI-FI, SCI-FI comprises Patrick’s plays Camera Obscura, All in the Mind, and the new work Anything Is Plausible. The production is codirected by CultureHub’s artistic director Billy Clark and artist and director Jason Trucco.

The event will be performed with many of the newest technologies of the 21st century: 360-degree video, virtual reality, and distance collaboration (telepresence) between two cities, featuring live performers in Seoul, Korea, under the direction of Park II Kyu performing together with live performers in New York.

The design team for HI-FI, WI-FI, SCI-FI includes composer and sound designer Carlos Alomar, lighting designer Joe Levasseur, and special environmental and spatial sound design by Wolfgang Gil.

The cast includes John Gutierrez, Yeena Sung, Valois Mikens, and Agosto Machado.
