Casting has been announced for the upcoming New York premiere of the comedy Shear Madness. Performances begin October 22 at New World Stages, with opening night set for November 11.

The company is made up of Adam Gerber (The Whipping Man), Jeremy Kushnier (Jesus Christ Superstar), Kate Middleton (The Late Christopher Bean), Patrick Noonan (Almost, Maine), Jonathan Spivey (Act One), and Lynne Wintersteller (Closer Than Ever). Bruce Jordan directs.

Set in a local hair salon that turns into a wacky murder scene, Shear Madness is a whodunit where the audience gets to solve the crime. The play first opened in Boston (where it still runs) in 1978 and has since been seen major cities across the United States including Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Philadelphia.

Shear Madness will have scenic and lighting design by Will Cotton, costume design by Rodney Harper, and sound design by Bruce Yauger.
