Four-time Emmy nominee Patricia Richardson, best known for her role as Jill Taylor on the sitcom Home Improvement, has joined the off-Broadway cast of Cruel Intentions: The Musical, running for 10 weeks only at (le) Poisson Rouge. She takes on the role of Mrs. Bunny Caldwell, played in Roger Kumble's 1999 cult hit film by Christine Baranski. Performances will run from November 17-January 29, 2018, with an official December 11 opening.

Richardson made her Broadway debut in 1974 revival of Gypsy, going on to create the role of Janice in Michael Weller’s Loose Ends and the role of Collard Darnell in The Wake of Jamie Foster, both on Broadway. Her off-Broadway credits also include The Coroner's Plot, Vanities, The Frequency, Fables for Friends, The Miss Firecracker Contest, and Cruise Control.

As previously announced, the cast of Cruel Intentions will also feature Lauren Zakrin (Rock of Ages) as Kathryn, Constantine Rousouli (Wicked) as Sebastian, Carrie St. Louis (Wicked) as Annette, Jessie Shelton (Hadestown) as Cecile, Alex Boniello (Spring Awakening) as Blaine, Brian Muller (The Good Wife) as Greg, and Matthew Griffin (The New Yorkers at Encores!) as Ronald.

Created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin, and Roger Kumble, Cruel Intentions: The Musical is a modern-day telling of the classic 1782 French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. Set to the greatest pop and rock hits of the '90s and songs from the film's iconic soundtrack, the musical will feature immersive stage direction by Lindsey Rosin and choreography by Jennifer Weber, with music direction and arrangements by Zach Spound, costumes styled by Tilly Grimes, sound by Robert Bradley, lighting by Daniel Kent, and props by Carolyn Mraz.

The original film was produced by Neal Moritz and released by Columbia Pictures on March 5, 1999. It starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, Selma Blair, Joshua Jackson, Eric Mabius, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Christine Baranski.
