Kate Baldwin and Conor Ryan went into the recording studio on April 6 to lay down tracks for the upcoming cast recording of Andrew Lippa and Tom Greenwald's John & Jen, which recently completed an off-Broadway run via Keen Company.

The musical, which features music by Lippa, lyrics by Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa, will be preserved by Broadway Records. Andrew Lippa and Michael Croiter will produce the album, which hits stores on June 16. The recording will also include the premiere of a new song, "Trouble With Men," as well as new orchestrations and two songs from the score never before recorded. Lily Lang is the musical director.

Spanning the years 1952-1990, John & Jen is a two-person show about the relationship between a brother and a sister, and her relationship with her son. The Keen Company revival opened on February 26 at the Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row and closed April 4. Keen Company artistic director Jonathan Silverstein directed.
