John Patrick Shanley's Prodigal Son Extends Run

Manhattan Theatre Club's currently running world premiere of Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner John Patrick Shanley's Prodigal Son has announced an extension at New York City Center – Stage I. The production, which Shanley also directs, is now selling tickets through March 27.

Prodigal Son follows a gifted yet violent 17-year-old boy from the Bronx who suddenly finds himself in a private school in New Hampshire. Two faculty members subsequently struggle to decide whether the boy is a star or a disaster.

The cast features Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard (Born Yesterday), Chris McGarry (Doubt), Timothée Chalamet (Homeland), Annika Boras (Chair), and David Potters.

The creative team for Prodigal Son includes Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Ann Roth (costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (sound design).
