Target Margin Theater closes out its 24th season, dedicated to the work of Gertrude Stein, with the world premiere of Composition…Master-Pieces…Identity, a new solo piece conceived and performed by David Greenspan.

The play brings to life two "lectures" and a "play" written by Gertrude Stein (Composition as Explanation, What Are Master-Pieces and Why Are There So Few of Them, and Identity A Poem). The works follow her changing thoughts on artistry as her own reputation morphed to "celebrity" status.

Performances began May 27 in advance of a May 31 opening. Take a first look at Greenspan in performance at the Connelly Theater.

Composition…Master-Pieces…Identity opens this Sunday, May 31.
