Casting Revealed for Atlantic Theater Company Revival of Caryl Churchll's Cloud Nine

The modern classic returns to New York for the first time since 1981.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for its upcoming revival of Caryl Churchill's landmark drama Cloud Nine, to be directed by James Macdonald at the Linda Gross Theater. The production begins performances September 16 and opens on October 5, with the run scheduled to conclude November 1.

Set in colonial Africa and 1979 London, Cloud Nine is about power, politics, family, Queen Victoria and sex. This is the first major production of the work since 1981.

Featured in the company (in alphabetical order) are Brooke Bloom (You Got Older), Sean Dugan (Next Fall), Lucy Owen (The Village Bike), Chris Perfetti (The Tempest), John Sanders (Peter and the Starcatcher), Izzie Steele (What I Did Last Summer), and Clarke Thorell (Annie).

Cloud Nine will feature scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Gabriel Berry, lighting design by Scott Zielinksi, and sound design by Darron L West.
