Cast Announced for Musicals Tonight!'s All-Male Boys From Syracuse

This new take on the Rodgers and Hart musical kicks off the nonprofit theater company’s 20th season.

Casting has been announced for Musicals Tonight!'s 20th spring season opener, an all-male interpretation of the Rodgers and Hart musical The Boys From Syracuse, running at the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row February 13-25. Jonathan Cerullo directs and choreographs.

Shavey Brown, Jody Cook, Matt Dengler, Ian Fairlee, Matthew Fairlee, Sam Given, Madeline Hamlet, Joseph Scott Holt, Jonathan Hoover, Jose Luaces, Elliott Mattox, Darrell Morris Jr., Adam Shapiro, and Josh Walden will be featured in the cast.

The creative team will include Joshua Warner (sets), Ethan Steimel (lighting), and Hope Salvan (costume design), with Evan Rees the musical director and Sue Delano assistant choreographer.

Featuring music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Lorenz Hart, with book by George Abbott, The Boys From Syracuse, which premiered on Broadway in 1938, is based on William Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors.
