Waterwell's production of Hamlet, starring Tony nominees Arian Moayed, Sherie Rene Scott, and Micah Stock, begins performances tonight at Sheen Center. Director Tom Ridgely's production, set in Persia on the eve of World War I, weaves passages of a Farsi translation into the English of William Shakespeare’s drama.

Moayed takes on the title role, with Scott as Gertrude, and Stock as Horatio. Barzin Akhavan, Amir Arison, Maryam Ataei, Brendan Averett, Cary Donaldson, Andrew Guilarte, Abraham Makany, Arash Mokhtar, Ajay Naidu, Sathya Sridharan, and Sheila Vand complete the company.

The creative team includes Mohsen Namjoo (original music), Jason Simms (scenic design), Nina Vartanian (costume design), Reza Behjat (lighting design), and Sinan Zafar (sound design).
