American Horror Story vet Jamie Brewer will star in the world premiere of Amy and the Orphans, a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino. Directed by Scott Ellis, the Roundabout Theatre Company production will begin performances February 1, 2018 at the Laura Pels Theatre, with opening night set for March 1. The limited engagement will end April 22, 2018.

Brewer will take on the role of Amy, a woman with Down syndrome who helps her family deal with their father’s death. As they drive down the Long Island Expressway, an unexpected turn reveals the moment that changed their lives. Brewer, best known for her performances as Addie on American Horror Story: Murder House and Nan in American Horror Story: Coven, worked with Ellis and Ferrentino on readings of the play dating back to 2015. She is also the first woman with Down syndrome to walk at New York Fashion Week.

Further information about Amy and the Orphans will be announced in the coming months.
