The Tony Award winning production of Jay Johnson: The Two and Only will return to New York, in a limited Off-Broadway run at the Theatre at Saint Peters, January 8-10. Murphy Cross and Paul Kreppel have directed the production.

In the piece, Johnson interweaves autobiography with the history of ventriloquism along the way delivering a series of classic puppet routines.

The performer first gained fame on the hit sitcom Soap. The production originally ran Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theatre in 2004 and later played San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston before arriving at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway, where it ran for two months and won the 2007 Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event. Johnson is currently performing the show at Los Angeles' Colony Theatre through December 13.
