The Toxic Avenger will embark on a national tour in the fall of 2010. The schedule and tour cities will be announced at a later date.

The show, based on Lloyd Kaufman's 1985 cult film, features music and lyrics by David Bryan and book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The New York company currently features Diana DeGarmo, Nick Cordero, Demond Green, Jonathan Root, and Nancy Opel. The production is directed by John Rando.

In related news, the musical will mark its 200th performance off-Broadway at New World Stages on October 1. In addition, a production Toxic Avenger will open in Toronto at The Music Hall on October 31.
