(© Joseph Marzullo/Retna) | Tony Award nominee Manoel Felciano will co-star with Howard Overshown, Miriam Laube, Sonja Parks, Patrick Rameau, Marsha Stephanie Blake, and Sharon Washington in the free staged reading of Winter Miller's Untitled Darfur Play, to be presented at 7:30pm on Friday, November 3 as part of the Public's New Work Now! Festival. The reading will be directed by Joanna Settle.
After the reading, Miller will be joined for a post-show discussion with her employer, the Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist Nicholas D. Kristof, as well as Today Show anchor Ann Curry and Joann Ellen Kingsley, a noted humanitarian aide worker.
Miller's other works include The Penetration Play, Cake and Ice Cream, and Greetings from Vietnam. She is currently developing a musical Something's Wrong with Amandine. Settle is best known for directing the award-winning solo show Nine Parts of Desire.
