Joel Israel, Alenka Kraigher, Elina Löwensohn, Eric Magnus, and Daniel Allen Nelson will join the previously announced Wilem Dafoe for the world premiere of Idiot Savant, to be written and directed by Richard Foreman at the Public Theater, October 27-December 13, with an opening set for November 4.

Presented in association with Foreman's Ontological-Hysteric Theater, the piece is described as "a philosophical comedy," and includes existential and metaphysical acrobatics, as well as a game of inter-species golf with a Giant Duck.

The production will feature scenic design by Peter Ksander and Foreman, costume design by Gabriel Berry, lighting design by Heather Carson, and sound design by Travis Just.
