Casting has been announced for the new Off-Broadway incarnation of Avenue Q will begin performances October 9, at New World Stages, with an official opening date of October 21.

Anika Larsen, from the final Broadway cast and previously from the National Tour, will play Kate Monster/Lucy. The company will also feature Seth Rettberg (Princeton/Rod), Elle K. Thomas (Gary Coleman), Sala Iwamatsu (Christmas Eve), Nicholas Kohn (Brian), and Maggie Lakis (Mrs. T/Bad Idea Bear).

Avenue Q has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, and is directed by Jason Moore. The musical is based on an original concept by Lopez and Marx, with puppets conceived and designed by Rick Lyon. The creative team also includes Stephen Oremus (music supervision), Ken Roberson (choreography), Anna Louizos (scenic design), Mirena Rada (costume design), Howell Binkley (lighting design), and Acme Sound Partners (sound design).
