The Prospect Theatre Company will kick off its 10th anniversary season with a new production of its award-winning musical Illyria, based on William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, October 18-November 16 at the Hudson Guild Theatre. The show is written by Fred Ebb Award winner Peter Mills and co-adapted and directed by Cara Reichel, with choreography by Christine O'Grady and music direction by Daniel Feyer.

The cast will feature Brandon Andrus (Duke Orsino), Jimmy Ray Bennett (Malvolio), Mitch Dean (Sebastian), Ryan Dietz (Sir Andrew Aguecheek), Jessica Grové (Viola), Andrew Miramontes (Antonia), Jim Poulos (Feste), Dan Sharkey (Sir Toby Belch), Laura Shoop (Olivia), and Tina Stafford (Maria), along with Lauren Adams, John Mervini, Jed Peterson, and Megan Stern. The creative team includes Erica Beck Hemminger (sets), Naomi Wolff (costumes), Ji-youn Chang (lighting), and Joanna Lynne Staub (sound).

The company's season will continue with a site-specific, collaborative work entitled The Dome, to run January 31-March 1 at the West End Theatre, which will interweave a story of modern-day New York with the enlightenment-era romance of Voltaire, using original music, found text, and video projections. It will conclude with Golden Boy of Blue Ridge, April 4-May 3 at 59 E. 59 Theatres, Mills' musical update of J.P. Synge's The Playboy of the Western World, directed by Reichel.
