Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's King of Shadows

Full cast and creative team information has been announced for the world premiere of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's King of Shadows, to be presented by Working Theater at Theater for the New City, September 2-28, with an opening on September 7. Connie Grappo will direct.

The play centers around Nihar, a 15-year-old homeless runaway selling sex to survive, who claims he's being pursued by supernatural demons. When Jessica, a young social worker, takes him in, he forms a dangerous bond with her teenage sister that threatens everything she values.

The cast will include Satya Bhabha, Kat Foster, Sarah Lord, and Richard Short. The creative team features Wilson Chin (set), Jack Mehler (lighting), Emily Pepper (costumes), and M.L. Dogg (sound).

Aguirre-Sacasa's plays include Good Boys and True, Based on a Totally True Story, Dark Matters, The Mystery Plays, Golden Age, and Say You Love Satan.
