Michael Cullen, Megan Ferguson, Daniel Eric Gold, Leslie Lyles and Dan McCabe will star in Second Stage Theatre's Uptown Series' world premiere of Carly Mensch's Len, Asleep in Vinyl, May 13-June 22. The show, to be directed by Jackson Gay, will open officially on June 2.

The work focuses on a disillusioned music producer (Cullen) who finds his estranged son (Gold) and an ambitious and self-destructive rock star (Ferguson) suddenly on his doorstep. Mensch's play All Hail Gordo was presented as part of the 2008 Humana Festival; Gay's Off-Broadway credits include Scarcity and The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow.

The Uptown series will continue with Rajiv Joseph's Animals Out of Paper, July 15-August 24, at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre. The play, to be directed by Giovanna Sardelli, is about an origami artist who opens her studio to a teenage prodigy and his school teacher. The pair previously collaborated on All This Intimacy, which was presented as part of the 2006 Second Stage Uptown Series.
