The York Theatre Company's Musicals in Mufti presentation of The Body Beautiful, which was presented in October 2007, is being recorded by Original Cast Records for a summer 2008 release.

The show, which is co-authored by Joseph Stein and Will Glickman and features a score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, is about a wealthy Dartmouth College graduate who wishes to be a prize-winning boxer and the girl he loves who disapproves of his ambitions. His fight manager must deal with uninspired fighters, two ex-wives and a new girlfriend.

The recording will feature Cady Huffman, Brad Oscar, Capathia Jenkins, Angie Schworer, Ryan Duncan, Stephen Bienskie, and Jim Sorensen. The cast will also feature Laura Marie Duncan, Jonathan Kay, Mike McGowan, John Eric Parker, and Patrick Richwood, all of whom appeared in the production, along with Kerry Conte.
