Oscar nominee Michael Shannon will assume the role of The Stage Manager in Thornton Wilder's Our Town, running at the Barrow Street Theatre, on February 23. He will replace Stephen Kunken, who continues through February 19. David Cromer has directed the production.

Shannon received an Academy Award nomination for his performance in Revolutionary Road. His New York stage credits include Tracy Letts' Bug and Killer Joe, Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Little Flower of East Orange, and Craig Wright's Lady. In addition, he is a founding member of Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago, where he recently appeared in Wright's Mistakes Were Made.
