Ashlie Atkinson, who stars in the Off-Broadway production of Neil LaBute's Fat Pig, will be featured on The Jane Pauley Show on Wednesday, February 23 in an entry titled "A Shift Towards Tolerance?" The show will air in New York on NBC at 11am.

Atkinson will discuss her performance in the play, offering insight into Helen's character as well as the cultural resonance of Fat Pig's themes. There will be video clips from the production as well as from Rescue Me, the TV series in which Atkinson has a recurring role.

The remainder of the February 23 show will deal with tolerance in the media as it is becoming more common to see unconventional beauty in books, movies, television, and advertising. Other guests will include authors Jennifer Weiner and Wendy Shanker, along with the people behind Dove's "Campaign for Real Beauty."
