Diane Ciesla, Kathleen McNenny, Seth Numrich, Martin Rayner, and Charles Shaw Robinson will star in Frank McGuinness' Gates of Gold, to be presented by The Artists Theatre Group at 59E59 Theaters, February 19-March 29. Kent Paul will direct.
The play is based on the founders of Dublin's Gate Theatre, Hilton Edwards and Micheál MacLiammóir, and takes a fictional look at their romantic and professional relationship.
McGuinness received a Tony nomination for Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, and his new version of A Doll's House won a 1997 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. His translation of Hedda Gabler and adaptation of Electra also ran on Broadway.
