About This Show

Milton Frederick Marcus’ The Garden of Frau Hess takes place in Germany in 1944. A relationship develops between Ilse Hess, wife of Nazi party leader Rudolph Hess and Isaac Baum, a concentration camp prisoner, former professor of horticulture, who becomes her gardener. The play is a fictional relationship, based on actual events.
