Overflowing with innovation, artistry and excitement, the program from this dynamic young company includes live piano music by Philip Glass; a haunting, seldom seen 1948 Daniel Nagrin solo; and new pieces created for Wendy Whelan by Shen Wei and Edwaard Liang (New York City Ballet soloist). Closing the evening is a world premiere performed and choreographed by hip-hop master Victor Quijada of Montreal’s Rubberbandance Group with NYCB standouts Sean Suozzi and Andrew Veyette, plus John Selya, the breakout star of Broadway’s Movin’ Out.
